Fab and neat

Sometimes I like visiting small boutiques than going through different clothes shops in the mall. And on my way home, I noticed a small sign saying “Bags in the City”. The word “Bags” itself convinced me to make a detour. As I enter the boutique it was like I can hear angels singing hallelujah as I saw the shelves of colorful bags of different designs. I began to look at each bag, looking at every detail like the inside pockets and the materials the bags were made of. I saw some that I liked and some that I could really use. One of these is the hug bags. Not only do they have unique designs, but also very affordable! Nobody would think the bags are only P250 each!

More than just a Fashion Statement

Fashion is all about making a statement. It’s always what’s the new look? Who’s wearing what? But today’s hot trend is statement shirts. Actually, they never went out of style. And I just love statement tees! I even love those made here in the Philippines. I have a few actually, some I got from the US and the others I got here, mostly in the local tiangge of Greenhills (I will be showing you some from my own stash next week). But what really grabbed my attention are the funny statement tees Team Manila has created for kids and dubbed the collection as, Tiny Manila. Here’s a few that I liked:

I really liked this one. It will really put a smile on your face when you see this worn by a cute little girl.

Fashion Forward

Fashion deals with experiments. Designers are always looking forward and trying to create the next best thing and setting a trend in this industry where everything is changing. Let’s take a look on how fashion designers see the industry’s future with these creative designs I found on Yanko Design.

First on our list is what every woman has been dreaming about, a shoe with adjustable heels. Women from different parts of the world will be thanking Marte den Holllander for this ingenious product. According to Yanko Design, “The character of this shoe is in the heel shape. It has separate tips for both positions. While being used in one position, the other heel tip is kept out of sight in and opening in the sole. The shoe is being transformed with a simple and quick movement: one just pulls the heel downwards to release it, after which it can be folded in or out as preferred. The adjustment of the heel position automatically changes the curvature of the sole to fit the altered shape of the foot.” Read the rest of this entry »
